The weather gods spared us this time around at Calder as we were presented with a cool, overcast day for the club run which was a major improvement on last year which resembled the coming of the next ice age!!
After we made our way there, got our cars scrutineered and had the drivers briefing we were ready to hit the track. Well, at least some of us!! Lindsay and Trevor got out on the track early while I helped Dave with a last minute adjustment bolting on a new carby!!
Dave and I finally made the track, Jamie joined in for a few laps before reverting to the Corolla of death for a bit of fun. We all got down to some pretty handy times but my Calder curse started to kick in. For some reason I kept throwing alternator belts, chucking two in fairly quick succession. Upon closer inspection it looks like Ive got a dud lower pulley. After lunch I threw another belt then lost the oil gauge and started losing diff oil through a rear wheel bearing. I decided to call it a day at that point. I didnt get many flying laps in but pulled a best of

It was a great turnout for the club with Craig, Roger,
Hopefully well see a few more coupes on the track next year.
