It was a very cool and cloudy day as Moya and I arrived nice and early at Caribbean Gardens to start setting up. Before too long everyone else started rolling in and we ended up with 21 coupes on display which was a great turnout.

Apart from the regulars it was great to see Peter and Annette come along for their first club run with their XB John Goss Special, hope to see you both again soon. A big welcome also to Peter & Linda and Mark & Family from the Falcon Cobra Club. It was good to have you folks along as well. Peter & Linda had travelled a long way to be there.

There were also another couple of coupes who joined us for the day. Ken and Hamish with an immaculate Tropic Gold Landau, Les and family in his Calypso Green XA GT and the proud owner of a Black XB whose name escapes me. Good to meet you folks and hope to have you join the club soon

There was heaps of interest in the cars and the club, we fielded a lot of enquiries and signed up some new members. It was a fantastic day out. This run is always a good one for the club and is something of a club tradition. Pencil this one in again for next year.

As always, several people helped out which made for a great day.

Special thanks goes to the ladies; Moya, Marita and Jan for keeping the information tent going, talking to the public, answering questions and enquiries. Without your hard work promoting the club this day would not have been the success it was.

Thanks also to Lindsay for bringing the BBQ and banner and to Stuart for bringing the food.

Happy Cruising, Craig.
