I found myself in between cars after selling my XW GT and in dire need of something to fill the void. I thought I'd like to do up a replica of the Moffat Federation Insurance XC.

I put the word out among some mates in the trade I was looking for a coupe.

Before too long I got a phone call to say an XC has been located. Part of the phone conversation was 'It's a bit too good for what you want it for'

Intrigued I just had to follow this one up.

He was right!!

What I found was an original stock as a rock XC GS Rally Pack, original 351 factory manual with air conditioning and power steering.

It was a genuine one owner with low kilometres in perfect unmarked condition. I just had to have this one!!

I've kept it very close to original.

The cheese cutter 12 slotters have been replaced by Simmons B45's, the suspension was lowered and tightened up by Ray Selby of Selbys Suspension fame and the air conditioning has been repaired. I've also put on a smaller steering wheel.
