A big thanks to Joe, the FPV and Ford Fairlane Clubs for another fantastic day...It sure was cold enough with that icy wind blowing across the top of the hill that even a snowman would scream out for a jumper but the turn out was great!
The old rivalry between Jack and Lindsay was well and truely alive and well. Lindsay in his white 351 XC Coupe and Jack in the 302 XB ran pretty close times. Jack thought he had Lindsay when he ran a 1.09.97 but on his next run out, Lindsay ran a 1.08.93.
Dave and Stu in there XD ran a very quick 1.03.97...Even if Dave did break down on the track the lap before and had to reconnect the excelerator cable.
Peter and Scott also came along in their XF Falcon and ran decent times too. Must say Dave bought it home for the Fords though, beating Ian's silver commodore that ran a 1.03.98.
It was great to meet Peter from the Cobra club that came down in his beautiful XC Cobra. Your number plate suited the car great!!
The rain came bucketing down after the lunch break so Jack and I called it a day. Thanks to all the members of the Coupe Club who came down and gave it a go: Alan (thanks for being a marshall today), Murray, Scott, Peter, Stuart, Dave, Lindsay and of course Tas and Sophi. Thanks Sophi for providing excellent hot food and drinks to keep us all warm.
Can't wait for the next one!
