SHANNONS CLASSIC AUSTRALIAN CAR SHOW

As usual, this was a combined run with the Falcon Cobra Club. It was a reasonably hospitable hour to gather at our meeting point at Melbourne Zoo. We were confident the weather would hold off and it would be a good day. Before long we had plenty of arrivals so we headed off to Flemington. On Epsom Road we found the queue to get in was huuuugge and not moving terribly quickly.

We eventually got in and made it to our display area. In all we had a combined total of 21 coupes and filled an entire row. We had some new members turn out in addition to the usual suspects. Among the new members they presented a Green/White John Goss Special and a Frosted Lime Landau. Both are newly completed restorations and look fantastic. We also had a tough looking Black XB roll up and we gained a new club member. It was also great to see other club members come along to spectate and support our display

It was a fantastic day. The weather gods were kind to us, a vast improvement on last year where we all got hypothermia!! The venue was perfect and was well organized. This show is a ripper with some seriously nice cars of various brands and genre, there was something there for everyone. Big thanks to everyone who helped out with the club display. Congratulations to Tiny for winning an award with his Cobra. Well done!!

This event is a fixture, looking forward to next year.
