SHANNON'S PHILLIP ISLAND CLASSIC FEBRUARY 2006

Shannons Phillip Island Classic – 12th February 2006.

The Shannons Phillip Island Classic historics meeting was on and the Falcon Cobra Club of Australia invited us to join their display at the island. After the disappointment of the Calder cancellation we were rarin’ to go and jumped at the chance. Our line up was Ben, Lindsay, Phil, Dave and Peter. Phil’s son Mitchell went along, Roger got a lift with Lindsay and I went with Dave.

We met up with the Cobra boys at Tooradin and cruised on down which made for a very impressive convoy and was a lot of fun. Once there we parked the cars and enjoyed the action despite the lack of Ford representation on the track.

There were some seriously beautiful cars on display of various makes and models from local muscle cars to exotic and historic cars. It’s great to see such a variety of cars and the pride their owners have in them.

It was a terrific day out and everyone had a great time, maybe with the exception of getting off the island!! Still, it was a great day and we’d love to come back again next year

.

Big thanks to the Falcon Cobra Club of Australia for inviting us along to participate. Big thanks also to Todd and Lucille Martin for looking after us all.

Happy cruising, Craig.
